Avia is part of the FSC Investments & Partnerships team, where she helps align programmatic goals with technological capabilities across the Forest Stewardship Council—a global nonprofit providing trusted solutions for the world’s forests to tackle today’s deforestation, climate, and biodiversity challenges. With a systems design approach and emphasis on partnerships, she supports both early strategy development and the scaling of technical programs. Avia holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, with concentrations in Sustainable Engineering and Socially Engaged Product Design.
