Toya Manchineri is the General Coordinator of the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB). A leader from the Manchineri people of Acre, he has dedicated his life to defending Indigenous rights, territories, and cultural preservation. He is a member of the Indigenous Committee on Climate Change (CIMC), of the Technical Chamber on Climate Change of the PNGATI Management Committee, and for two years he participated as one of the representatives of civil society on the National REDD+ Commission, representing the Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil.
