Rachel Biderman leads Conservation International’s Americas strategies across nine countries. A lawyer by trade, her decades-long career is dedicated to climate change, forests, and linking Brazilian policy to global processes. She previously served as Brazil country head for the World Resources Institute and worked in government on air quality and ecosystem protection. Rachel is a pioneering force in Brazil's environmental movement, having co-founded the Observatorio do Clima and the multi-sector Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture. She has consistently championed gender empowerment and corporate sustainability, integrating these principles into all her work to advance a low-carbon economy.
