Carter Roberts is president and CEO of WWF in the United States. Roberts has helped create and deliver some of WWF’s biggest initiatives that connect science, policy, blended finance, corporate commitments, supply chains, and the wisdom and rights of communities. Over 20 years, his work has centered on the profound importance of nature to include expanding networks of protected areas, creating innovative finance, advancing resilience for communities, and influencing the design of infrastructure. He is the founding chair of Enduring Earth, a partnership to expand and finance parks and Indigenous reserves, and chair of WWF Impact which invests in entrepreneurs bringing technologies to seaweed, food waste, and regenerative agriculture.
