Minnie Degawan is the Managing Director of the FSC Indigenous Foundation (FSC-IF), bringing over three decades of experience advocating for Indigenous Peoples’ rights and advancing inclusive conservation. A proud Kankanaey-Igorot from the Cordillera region in the Philippines, she has worked with global organizations to integrate Indigenous knowledge into forest stewardship and climate action. Her career includes leadership roles with WWF, Conservation International, and Re:Wild, focusing on Indigenous partnerships, policy, and forest carbon finance. Formerly an Indigenous rights activist, Minnie now leads FSC-IF to strengthen collaborations that elevate Indigenous leadership in sustainable forest management.
