Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim is an Indigenous leader from the Mbororo pastoralist community of Chad and President of the Association for Indigenous Women and Peoples of Chad (AFPAT). A global advocate for Indigenous rights, climate justice, and biodiversity, she pioneers the integration of traditional knowledge with science to strengthen community resilience and sustainable solutions. Hindou serves on international platforms, including the UN SDG Advocacy Group, advancing Indigenous leadership and equitable climate action worldwide.
