Subhra Bhattacharjee is the Director General of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), bringing over two decades of global experience in climate change, sustainable development, and public policy. She has worked with the United Nations, the Reserve Bank of India, and academia, collaborating across governments, NGOs, and the private sector. She holds Master of Philosophy in economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in economics from Iowa State University. Her leadership at FSC is driven by a bold vision to strengthen global forest stewardship and address the urgent climate and biodiversity crises through inclusive, sustainable forest management.
