Serving as the launch of Canada’s Nature Advantage’s Seven Policy Pillars, this session will consider how governments, Indigenous leaders, investors, and businesses can work together to unlock capital at scale. Drawing upon Canadian and international business models and financing models that are successfully integrating nature-based climate solutions to generate benefits for both nature and the climate, the session will surface actionable insights on the policies, financing mechanisms, and partnership models that can translate nature-positive ambition into measurable climate, biodiversity, and economic outcomes. Participants will leave the session with a common understanding of how the objectives of A Force of Nature (especially pillars 2 and 3) and similar policy frameworks internationally can be implemented to unlock benefits for communities, the environment, and sustainable economic productivity and competitiveness.
