Building on momentum from COP16, and with leadership from Mongolia, the time is now to collaborate for protection and restoration of grasslands and rangelands to benefit nature and people.

We will:
1. showcase effective mechanisms to protect (e.g. OECMs, effective land access/tenure policies, PFP's), manage (e.g., regenerative grazing), and restore (e.g., low cost riparian restoration) these systems.

2. Provide examples of how these actions help meet LDN and other goals (e.g., climate, biodiversity, food security, SDG's).

3. Support and advocate for implementation of the new Rangelands Decision (which is currently in development at CCD Secretariat).

We will include presenters from pastoralist communities as well as representatives from NGO's, country delegations who are leading on rangelands advocacy, and, if available, funders such as development banks or sovereign wealth funds.
