This event proposes an interactive space for the exchange of knowledge on strategies for coexisting with drought and democratizing water access in the semi-arid regions of Latin America. Rather than focusing on "combating" drought, the panel will highlight how local communities and youth are implementing social technologies for water catchment and storage (such as cisterns). The objective is to share diverse regional experiences and innovations that ensure water security, promote agroecology, and strengthen the climate resilience of these territories in the face of Anthropocene challenges.
